My name is Dania Gomez- Alvarez and I’ve served at the Illinois Campus for three amazing years! I am excited to transition over to the Desoto elementary campus where my priority will continue to be of servitude towards my students, teachers, parents and community. I hold a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Bachelors of Science in Public Health (Epidemiology) from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I also have my professional educator certifications including Principal as Instructional Leader (EC-12), PASL, classroom teacher EC-6, and Bilingual Education Supplemental-Spanish.
Before moving to Dallas in 2020, I served in the educational field in Mission, Texas (South Texas). My focus is on achieving academic success for every student, every day! I believe that working collaboratively with teachers and parents promotes positive school environments, Tier 1 instruction, and fully engaged students.. Additionally, I strongly value the importance of parent and community relationships and strive to cultivate a partnership between the school and all stakeholders!
